Mazda 6 atenza for saleBand

Hi there, OK, so have just bought my 2004 Mazda Atenza, and am totally confused and bamboozled with the lack of options on how to customize the stereo setup and re-use or modify the GPS that was built-in. Prikaz na blagotvoriteljnostj obrazec 2. The car is a Japanese import and comes with a DVD-Rom drive in the glovebox, and a display with a powered 'Open/Close' and 'Tilt' button. The factory fitted stereo is a 6 disc CD changer with Radio and no CD or MD. I have fitted a band expander to allow it to pickup the FM stations in New Zealand.

The stereo and A/C share a circuit board based off what everyone is telling me. I have been looking through the forums and on the internet, and there are a lot of modifications that have been done, but none that I can see which will allow me to replace everything and still have full control of the AC and all the lights etc. The options I have seen are: Replace with Double DIN modification and - I would lose AC lighting and display for Ambient Temp etc etc from what I understand. Also lose the steering wheel functions with JVC stereo (which is my planned system at the moment). Or: Replace top of Dash system Which seems to be good, but won't allow me to play CD's or my iPhone 3GS?

Basically I was hoping that someone has an Atenza in New Zealand who is able to offer suggestions or advice on what to do. Is it possible to move the circut board from the stereo and connect the AC to it in a different location. Does anyone have images of what the Atenza looks like behind the stereo and under the pop-up screen? Thanks in advance. Hi there, we have the exact same thing. The screen is pretty much useless as it is.

Ours has a reversing camera fitted so we use it for that. I have emailed rapid radio, this is what i asked: I see you can add gps to factory screens. We have a mazda atenza 2002 wagon with a screen that pops up, it has japanese gps, so just wondered can you add NZ gps to these ones? Also can dvd players be added to the system to be able to watch dvds on the screen? And this is the reply: Sony XVM-B62 6.2” LCD Monitor $399 Soundstream VDVD-160 DVD Player $399 Garmin GVN-52 GPS Module $999 Installation Incl Cables $400 Total $2197.00 Incl GST.

This will replace all the NTSC gear with NZ spec PAL screen and player. Any questions please ask away. Regards, Mark we thought that was quite expensive so have just left it. Can you pick up tv channels? Very fuzzy though?

I will do my best to make this simple and straight forward. I am hosting the pics for now on my CarDomain site. If there is a better way to get pics in these threads please let me know. First thing you want to do is unscrew your shiftnob. No need for a pic here, just turn it lefty loosey til it comes off. Next thing you want to do is take the cup holder out.

All you have to do is open it, stick your hand in with your thumb on the outside and squeeze like the pic below. It will pop right out. Surahoi namoz bo tochiki.
